What a week! I've had so many ups and downs, I'm deseperate for this weekend to start!
Wednesday I was all geared up to go to the PUG meeting when it happened. Car trouble. I've owned my car for almost 4 years and never once had a serious issue with it so, I guess maybe I was due. My 2003 Corolla and I have a very stable relationship. I take care of her and she takes me where I need to go. On Wednesday, however, we had a little tiff. I took her into the dealership and was trapped at home most of the day wondering what would happen. Then the call came. Mike, the Toyota guy gave me that bad news that the damage would cost me $400. So, I freaked out. THEN they called back after having someone double check the problem and informed me that it would actually cost $700. EFFFF!! Thank goodness I have wonderful parents. I don't like asking them for money and they know it, so they offered me a little help. Now, I owe them instead of Citi Bank. Thanks Mom & Dad!
I've had so much stress in my life the past few months that it's been bottled up to the point where the car trouble was the straw that broke the camels back. It was meltdown day. All I wanted was for the day to be over. I was in bed by 8:00 and when I woke up the next morning, it was Paul calling me to make sure I was okay and to offer me help if I needed it.
I have to say that through it all, Paul was there for me to listen to my blithering rediculousness and I really appreciate it. Over the past year that I've been working with Paul and Krystal, I've really opened up to them and let them in. There are very few people that know me well and more over, actually get me. I know that I can vent my frustrations to them without judgement.
Thanks for being such great friends, guys! Squish!

Eileen and Russ
This is the slide show Paul and I collaborated efforts on!
Eileen and Russ had their ceremony at St. Edwards Church here in Stafford, CT followed by their reception at St. Clements Castle in Portland.
We had a great day with this couple! Eileen was off-the-wall excited from the moment we arrived at Headliner's Salon. I'm pretty sure she never stopped smiling the entire day!
Enjoy the show!

Catch Up
Well, it's been a few weeks since my last blog and I've had a whole lot going on.
I assisted RossJacob Photography at a wedding in Lenox, MA and it was absolutely fabulous! I learned a lot and feel very lucky to have had the chance to work with Amy and Will. The two of them welcomed me warmly into their studio and their home for the weekend and we got to know eachother pretty quickly. There were a lot of laughs, I can tell you that much!
This past Friday I helped Paul and Krystal at Eileen and Russ's wedding. This couple was adorable! Her dress was gorgeous and I can't wait to post the slide show as soon as I'm finished with it!
Saturday, I went (as a guest!) to a friend's wedding in NY at The Marina Del Ray. Wanna talk about over the top? I'll tell you about over the top. Cocktail Hour included 1 whole roasted pig, 1 giant table of freshly prepared sushi, 1 carving station with various meats and cheeses, 4 other tables full of goodies to eat, and 2 open bars, which in hindsight, I didn't take advantage of nearly enough. I had duck l'orange for my entree after a few other courses and a few bottles of wine. They not only had the most amazing display of Viennese Desserts (7 tables with full service) but threw in a cigar bar for pizazz. There was a Cuban man sitting at a table wearing a fabulous hat rolling cigars. HOW crazy is that? Pretty crazy! Loved it! We all had a great time and I can't wait to go back to the city. After all, I do love New York.
I have the next few weekends off from weddings. It'll be nice to have a little breakon the weekends, but I'll be busy with other projects!

Busy Busy Busy!
This weekend I'll be assisting the fabulous Amy Ross Jacob at a wedding in Lenox, MA!
I'm nervous and excited about it all at the same time. It's going to be an awesome learning experience for me and I'm sure it'll be a blast as well!
I leave tomorrow to get aquainted with her set up and then help her out at the rehearsal dinner.
This will be my first time working at a rehearsal dinner, so I'm not really sure what to expect!
The wedding on Saturday evening sounds like it's going to beautiful! From what I've been told, the reception is going to be held at the very swanky, Wheatleigh Hotel and is basically, kind of a BIG deal!
I can't wait to get this thang started!!! :oD

Sans the Labor Day
To celebrate Labor Day, I generally choose to enjoy the day by doing....basically....nothing except eating BBQ and drinking beer.
This year, however, my boyfriend had other plans for me.
We've been hiking at Case Mountain in Manchester a few days a week for about a month now and it has some *awesome* trails that are pretty challenging. Especially the dreaded Pink Trail. I will now and forever refer to it as The Trail of DOOM. It's basically a steep, rocky, winding, evil trail that leads straight up to the look out on top of the mountain. I've walked up this trail twice now and both times ended up a sweaty mess once reaching the top. It RULES! My goal is to be able to run it by the end of October...we'll see how that goes!
I was disgruntled about being out in the world and having to exercise on top of it at first, but once we got warmed up I was glad we went out and kicked major rump at Case Mountain.
Dana brought his camera (to my surprise!) and these are some of the shots he took of me at the summit!
I'm going back with my brother today and it's going to ROCK

I'm doing it!
This is my first official blog! I'm so pumped!
Let me introduce myself! I'm Jen! AKA, the Studio Foto assistant, AKA, Paul & Krystle's little helper. So far, I've been working with the two crazies for almost a year. I've known Paul since I was about 12 or so. He and my sister go way back to their high school years. I met Krystal about 8 years ago when they shot my grand parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Long story short, the two of them have been in my world for a LONG time!
I'm extremely lucky to be working with them in this B-E-A-Utiful studio and learning, slowly but surely, the ways of the pro photography world. As it was, I'd never even used a Mac before I got here! Paul has never lost his patience with me once though and Krystal calls me her "Right Arm" when she introduces me to clients.
I love working with them and I really look forward to the future of this company. They are inspiring and life/fun loving people. I've never once left this studio without hearing "THANK YOU, Jen!"
I have so many adventures with these guys and now, I can BLOG about it! Whoohoo! I'm hip!
